There are two types of tour to Nagaland. If you are daring enough to face anything in life choose tour no 1 which is more adventurous and exciting.
On first day, drive to Monywa. You can visit Thanbuddhe Temple and also Powintaung Sanctuary. Stay overnight in Monywa. On second day early morning you can drive to Phaungpyin all the way through the deep Forest. You have to stay the night at local Guest house.
On third day drive to Homalin and after that take the boat to Khanti. Afternoon time can be spent visiting in and around the town. Local guest houses are there to stay at night.
You can start day four by driving up hill for five to six hours until Lahe. Stay overnight in Camp.
On fifth day you can take part the Naga New-year Festival. The experience will be overwhelming where you can watch the dancing of Naga tribe column to the Festival. There are some Naga villages in close proximity. You can always have a look to those villages. stay overnight at camp.
On sixth day you can continue participating Naga New Year Festival. Watch some excellent traditional performance with colorful costumes and jewelry. Enjoy dinner with traditional Naga Food. Stay night at camp.
On seventh day, drive back to Khanti by the forest. Stay night at Kanti. On eighth, ninth and tenth day enjoy adventure along Chintwin River. This is wonderful boat trip. You can enjoy village life going along the river. Enjoy the night beauty.
On eleventh day you can arrive at Monywa. Move to hotel. You can take rest in the evening. On twelfth day drive back to Mandalay.
