Mountaineering trip to Mount Victoria in Burma

In Burma you can always enjoy an adventurous trip while doing mountaineering. There are several mountains where you can explore a lot. Mount Victoria is one of them. This is also known as Nat Ma Hill. This trip includes six days and five nights. On first day you can take the boat till Pakkuku. After that you can drive to Kyauhtu and then continue to Mintat. Stay at the place at night. Next day enjoy hiking till Kampalat.

The enjoyment reaches its height when you trek in daytime to any one of the Chin villages. Some of the interesting areas are Hlalaung, Yelaungban or Makyaukah. These are the exciting areas where you can reach after five miles walk for three long hours. There you can observe some unique lifestyle of Chin tribe.

The style of Chin tribal women is really noteworthy. You can see some women with different types and styles of tattoo on their face and also attractive amber necklaces. Local guest houses are there. You can have your lunch and dinner and stay there overnight.

On third day you can visit Kampalat to Mount Victoria to AyeSakan. The route is car along with trekking. Go by car for about two hours and then trek to Mount Victoria. The height is 10,500 feet. You can enjoy your walk through evergreen plant forest with large laurels and oaks. These plants later change to a dry pine forest with rhododendron. The whole scenery is quite mesmerizing with abundance of lively birds. When you return to Aye Sakan camp, Mindut can be seen at 4860 ft. The peak is right on the other side of the mountain. Have your lunch and dinner on the way because you have to stay at Aye Sakan camp.

On fourth day you have to travel Aye Sakan camp to Kan-Pet-Let and then to Saw. Stay overnight at saw. On fifth day you have to travel Saw to Bagan.
